"The expected educational benefit of "Everybody Reads" to the students of Monticello is promoting reading in a way that is exciting to youth.  When students see these pictures they will recognize the faces of role models....which relates to reading in "real life".  Students are greatly influenced by community members and high school students involved in extra-curricular activities.  The goal is to link these role models to reading so that the students see that reading is enjoyed by everyone.  Pictures are so much more alive when they are of people we know and look up to..."
