What is an EIE Fund?
Excellence in Education (EIE) funds are a means to strengthen our school communities with the use of private charitable resources. EIE funds are awarded for the benefit of school district students and staff. They encourage creative and innovative educational programs, recognize and reward outstanding achievement, and encourage local business, civic and community involvement and investment in schools. EIE funds are community-supported funds that operate independently of school board oversight. All EIE funds are components of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin.

The Winskill School Scholastic Endowment was established in 2014 as an Excellence in Education Fund that provides private resources for the support of Winskill Elementary School.

Gifts to Excellence in Education funds are an investment in quality education for today’s students and future generations. Private resources allow for educational programming not typically funded by tax dollars.
Your gift can be a lasting and meaningful way of recognizing a special person or event in the life of your family, organization or business, or as a statement that you value education today and into the future. Donations to any EIE Fund are welcome at any time of the year. All gifts are tax deductible.
To be eligible for grants from the Winskill School Scholastic Endowment Excellence in Education Fund, applicants must be on the staff at Winskill Elementary School, Lancaster, Wisconsin. Requests from other organizations, school, municipalities or other individuals will not be considered. Applications for grants from the Winskill School Scholastic Endowment may be focused on student learning activities related specifically or generally to the school curriculum (such as transportation and/or admission fees that allow all students, regardless of economic circumstance, to participate in school field trips and/or payment assistance for academic enrichment classes during the school year or summer) or may be directed to staff learning activities related to the existing school curriculum or role the applicant plays in the school (such as transportation/registration fees for conventions/conferences that increase knowledge or employment of substitute teachers so that applicant can attend conferences/conventions).
