1446 N. Randall Avenue will provide private donor meeting space and a fully accessible community room available to area nonprofits at low/no cost; $150,000 matching gift opportunity now open.
The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin (CFSW) has purchased and is renovating a new facility at 1446 N. Randall Avenue in Janesville. The building has been designed with the people the Foundation serves in mind — and when the renovation is complete, it will function as a community resource for donors, nonprofits, and community organizations across Rock, Walworth, and seven additional Wisconsin counties.
Over the past several years, CFSW has grown in partnerships, grantmaking, and the depth of relationships that make this work possible. That growth made one thing clear: serving donors and nonprofits well requires a space designed to do exactly that.
“This building is a reflection of the trust our community has placed in the Foundation over the years. Having a permanent home allows us to be more present, more accessible, and better equipped to serve the donors, nonprofits, and neighbors who make southern Wisconsin a stronger place to live,” said Wyatt Jackson, President and CEO, Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin. “We are grateful to the donors whose generosity are making this possible, and we look forward to what we can accomplish together from this space.”
The renovated facility will include two features of particular benefit to the broader community:
Private donor meeting spaces. Staff will be able to meet confidentially with donors about their charitable goals — conversations that require a level of privacy an open office environment cannot provide.
A fully accessible boardroom and community room. This space will be available to area nonprofits for board meetings, staff trainings, and community gatherings at low or no cost — giving organizations across the region access to a professional meeting space they may not otherwise have. In partnership with a generous group of donors, CFSW has been presented with a $150,000 matching gift opportunity. Every dollar raised through community donations will be matched dollar for dollar until the goal is reached.
