About The Fund

Our Mission

The Janesville Multicultural Teacher Scholarship (JMTS) was established as a renewable scholarship program for multicultural students intending to pursue a career a degree in an education-related field and seek teacher or educator certification.  JMTS does request that each scholarship recipient apply to the School District of Janesville for a position with the intention of completing at least three successful years of employment.

How does the Janesville Multicultural Teacher Scholarship work?

JMTS is a component of the Community Foundation. The Advisory Board is comprised of community volunteers that work alongside the Foundation staff. The Advisory Board raises money for the scholarship program as well as assist in the review and selection of the Janesville Multicultural Teacher Scholars.
