On Tuesday, February 19, 2019 the DUWI Fund held a grant awards reception at Town Bank. Through generous gifts by area citizens, awards totaling more than $11,000 were made to 9 community organizations.
The recipients of the 2018-2019 grants include the following:
- Darlington Community of Churches – Food Pantry
- Darlington Community Revitalization – Tunes @ Twilight
- Hodan Center Incorporated- Energy Savings For the Center
- Holy Rosary School – 4K Technology
- Humpty Dumpty Preschool, Inc. – Learning Center
- Lafayette County Historical Society –Basement Renovations
- Volunteer Activites – Entertainment for S.U.N. Meal Sight
- S.U.N. – Home Delivered Meals
- Wisconsin Badger Camp, Inc. – Campership Program
These grants were made available from the DUWI Fund, a component of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, Inc. The DUWI Fund responds to the area’s not-for-profit organizations wishing to start new, innovative programs or expand current services. Grants from the DUWI Fund have encouraged community participation in the arts, education, environment, health and human service programs, and historical preservation.
