The New Glarus Community Foundation is a charitable endowment created in 1996 by and for the people of New Glarus. Each year a portion of the Foundation’s earnings are given back to the community in the form of grants supporting the arts, education, health care, youth, elderly programs, the environment, and historic preservation.
The New Glarus Community Foundation is a component fund of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin.
The following charitable fund has been established to support the donor’s charitable goals for the community:
Big Brothers/Big sisters – programs, technology & recruitment support
New Glarus EMS – Patient warming devices
SWCAP – food security program for New Glarus area
Swiss Center – expanding our Swiss story
Village of New Glarus – exterior paint and wallpaper repair
School District: Elementary snack program
Bethel Horizon learning experience

The Fund is advised by a committee of community volunteers who initiate fundraising activities and determine grant awards:
