Scholarship Application Process

Listed below are all scholarships available to Big Foot High School students, sorted by application type.

Most scholarship funds have specific eligibility requirements established by the donor, such as enrollment at a particular high school or specialization in a particular field of study. Also, most scholarship funds base selection on financial need, academic performance, extracurricular activities, volunteer/community service, or other talents.

Betty Moore-Weyland Scholarship

Available to students from: Badger High School, Big Foot High School, Delavan-Darien High School, Elkhorn Area High School
Eligibility: For students who are enrolled or will be enrolling in a course of study leading to a career in nursing. Student should be in the top 50% of class ranking. Preference may be given for financial need, but it is not a restriction.

Joseph B. Schrock, MD, Memorial Scholarship

Available to students from: Big Foot High School, Elkhorn Area High School
Eligibility: For students who plan to pursue a career in music and/or health. Student should be in the top 50 percent of class ranking. Preference may be given for financial need, but it is not a restriction.

Stebnitz Builders, Inc. Scholarship

Available to students from: Badger High School, Big Foot High School, Delavan-Darien High School, East Troy High School, Elkhorn Area High School, Elkhorn-Options Virtual Charter School, Elkhorn-The Career and College Academy, Faith Christian School, Whitewater High School, Williams Bay Middle/High School
Eligibility: Established for graduating seniors from Walworth County high schools who intend to major in a trade related field at a two or four year accredited college, university or technical school. Must have at least a GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Must submit at least one photo of a trade-related project or build completed within their high school career. Must submit at least two letters of recommendation from a counselor, teacher, community leader and/or clergy/spiritual leader. Preference may be given to students with high school work experience or community service experience or who intend to study carpentry, but these are not restrictions.
