Scholarship Application Process

Listed below are all scholarships available to Juda High School students, sorted by application type.

Most scholarship funds have specific eligibility requirements established by the donor, such as enrollment at a particular high school or specialization in a particular field of study. Also, most scholarship funds base selection on financial need, academic performance, extracurricular activities, volunteer/community service, or other talents.

Wayne and Jan Albertson Scholarship

Available to students from: Albany High School, Brodhead High School, Juda High School
Eligibility: For students who will be attending an accredited college, university or technical school.

Alvin X & Rosa Buholzer Scholarship – Blackhawk Technical College

Available to students from: Albany High School, Brodhead High School, Juda High School, Monroe High School, Monticello High School, New Glarus High School
Eligibility: For students planning to attend Blackhawk Technical College only. This scholarship was established by a bequest from Alvin X. and Rosa Buholzer to assist and encourage worthy and industrious students who will be attending Blackhawk Technical College. ELIGIBILITY: Applicants should be in the top 33% of class ranking.

Big Brothers/Big Sisters Green County Scholarship

Available to students from: Albany High School, Brodhead High School, Juda High School, Monroe High School, Monticello High School, New Glarus High School
Eligibility: For students who have either been recipients of BB/BS service, or who have provided service to the organization. Selection will be based upon number of years involved, impact Big Brothers/Big Sisters has had on applicant. Student should be goal-oriented, demonstrate interest in community and school activities, and have financial need.

Class of 1967 We Remember Our 9 Angels Scholarship

Available to students from: Juda High School
Eligibility: For students who will be attending an accredited college, university, or technical school. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and provide a written statement of past accomplishments and plans for the future.

Curt Marzolf Memorial Scholarship

Available to students from: Argyle High School, Black Hawk High School, Juda High School, Monroe High School
Eligibility: Established to provide for post high school educational opportunities for graduating seniors from Monroe, Argyle, Juda or South Wayne, WI high schools who intend to study the field of engineering at an accredited college or university. ELIGIBILITY: Student will attend an accredited college or university studying the field of engineering. Student must have a 3.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale. Preference for a student that has a relationship with hunting, fishing, archery, shooting sports, 4-H or FFA but not a requirement.

Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church Scholarship

Available to students from: Albany High School, Brodhead High School, Juda High School, Monroe High School, Monticello High School, New Glarus High School
Eligibility: Scholarship awarded to individual(s) who plan to attend a Lutheran college, university or seminary. This scholarship is based on financial need and academic performance. Preference may be given to a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church located in Monroe, Wisconsin.

John & Becky Wegmueller “Abenteuer” Scholarship

Available to students from: Albany High School, Brodhead High School, Juda High School, Monroe High School, Monticello High School, New Glarus High School
Eligibility: For students pursuing a post-secondary education at an accredited college, university or technical school. Should be in the top 10% of class ranking or have a GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Preference may be given for involvement in sports, school activities, church and community. Preference may be given for financial need.

The Green Haven Family Advocates, Geraldine “Gerri” Newman Memorial Scholarship

Available to students from: Albany High School, Brodhead High School, Juda High School, Monroe High School, Monticello High School, New Glarus High School
Eligibility: The applicants for this scholarship must be of good character and high moral standards. Preference may be given to applicants who demonstrate a commitment to volunteerism through participation in school and/or community activities, plan a career path with direct connection to human services (examples: social work, medical, teaching, law enforcement, etc.) Additional preference will be given to an individual who has shown an ability to overcome hardship in their personal life. Applicants will also be judged on citizenship, leadership, academics, financial need, and life experiences.
